 While it would be better if pkgsrc spoke with a single voice... I
 don't think, at least based on past experience, that this is actually
 true in general -- new packages sitting in gnats have a tendency to
 sit around indefinitely, but so do packages in wip.
 
 although if it's true for you maybe that's a good enough reason to do
 it.
