 From https://www.gnupg.org/download/index.html
'Pinentry is a collection of passphrase entry dialogs which is required for
almost all usages of GnuPG stable or modern (2.x).'

Generate a new key pair procedure[1] has stopped due to this error:
   gpg: agent_genkey failed: No pinentry
   Key generation failed: No pinentry

 [1] `gpg2 --full-gen-key` or `gpg2 --gen-key`

ps. there are three branches of GnuPG:
GnuPG "modern" (2.1), GnuPG "stable" (2.0), GnuPG "classic" (1.4)
 pps. for new gpg users
