 NetBSD has no libc.so.7 too.
 
 % ls /usr/lib/libc.so*
 /usr/lib/libc.so          /usr/lib/libc.so.12       /usr/lib/libc.so.12.190
 
 Removing libc.so.7 entry make your firefox work properly?
 What is the output of "ls /usr/lib/libc.so*"?
