I am now able to run the modular-xorg-server X11_TYPE=modular using
the xf86-video-vesa driver on a NetBSD 6.99.22 amd64 machine. The
machine has an AMD processor, Asus M5A87 motherboard, and a Radeon
4350 type graphics card. As whatever legacy pci support now appears
to work, at least to get the vesa driver going, for both DragonFly
3.5-DEVELOPMENT i386 and x86_64 and for some machine running NetBSD
6.99.22 amd64, the problem from my perspective would appear to have
been solved. Thanks!
