 It should be generated by update-mime-info(1):
 % update-mime-info /usr/pkg/share/mime
 (see also 
http://standards.freedesktop.org/shared-mime-info-spec/shared-mime-info-spec-latest.html#s2_layout
 )
 
 If it resolve your issue, some packages may not maintain the DB correctly.
 (missing databases/shared-mime-info/mimedb.mk)
