The last successful bootstrap was in May. After that I had very little
time to look after my local pkgsrc installation, and I started only a
few days ago to catch up.

So far I did not analyze the problem thoroughly, but the error I see
seems to involve

pkgtools/bootstrap-mk-files/files/bsd.prog.mk

The failing compiler invocation contains the (somewhat dubious?)
string "-lgcc -lc -lgcc", and I haven't found this anywhere else. This
file hasn't changed since 2006, but maybe it's included differently
now. As mentioned, I will post a more detailed description later.
