        There seems to be some kind of dbus issue which makes everything very

        I see the following message in $HOME/.xsession-errors when I try to open
        phonon in the multimedia systemsetings:

knotify(1174)/phonon (KDE plugin):

 send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply

        I have dbus, famd and hal running.

        Start kdm and then login.
        The login sound takes long (minutes) before it is played.
        Opening phonon from systemsettings can take up to 10-30 minutes.
        The test option from phonon takes also a few seconds (minutes) before
        it works.
