 No. gnats is dumb.
 
 I guess the best approach is to either close this one and say
 something like "this is caused by 49276 (q.v.), which is going to get
 fixed as soon as the freeze is over"... or to leave both open until
 the fix is committed.
 
 Both of these approaches have disadvantages.
