 Yes, I found it:
 
    $ cd /d0/build/pkgsrc/devel/pango/work
    $ grep "@GL_LIB@" .buildlink/lib/pkgconfig/*.pc
    .buildlink/lib/pkgconfig/gl.pc:Libs: -Wl,-R${libdir} -L${libdir} -l@GL_LIB@
 
 It appears to be in the "gl.pc" file.
