It already depends on expat.

I assume: you've installed NetBSD without the X sets and pkg_add'ed cambevao 
from
a pre-built binary package. Since it was built on a NetBSD with X, it used epxat
from NetBSD's X, which you are now missing.

Solution: install the X sets.
