Could you please verify if the problem is gone with the update to 5.12.1?
The update removes the "wrong" patch and let Policy.sh and the hints figure out 
the right flags.
Rainer Tammer (p5 AIX porter) told me, that it should do fine - but I hadn't 
the time to verify it on my own.
