 This is an interesting prospect.  I've pondered this myself, but only
 recently have come into a spare machine with which to experiement on a
 major subsystem like this.
 
 I wonder if anyone else has built modular-xorg-*, etc. for MacOS X?  I
 did build X(Free86) 4.4 on 10.1.5 a long time ago and it mostly worked.
