   PKGSRC-WARNING: Something is trying to run the c compiler,
   PKGSRC-WARNING: but it is not added to USE_LANGUAGES in the package
   Makefile.
The work-around was to set USE_LANGUAGES to "c c++" globally -- in /etc/mk.conf

Maybe, this is because I am using non-default compiler (gcc44 instead of cc) -- from the beginning?..
