Building xmlcatmgr with Sun Studio compilers and the following flags:

cc -xO4 -xtarget=native -xbuiltin=%all -xlibmil -xlibmopt -fround=nearest 
-xstrconst

produces xmlcatmgr that does not install xml catalogs properly, it also appends 
garbage to the end of xml files. Compiler optimisations cause something to go 
wrong with this software.
