That sounds like patch-ac to xfce4-panel wasn't applied. Was it?

I'm not sure about that one. Is it only your desktop, or also in the
file manager?

As far as I know that should be all that's needed. I normally don't
have real files on my desktop but I tried it bnow and it seems to work.
I should mention that I also have wip/tango-icon-theme installed. Does
that change anything?

I only built xfce4-extras to see if anything was broken, but apparently
xfmedia isn't in it. (This reminds me, I should send another PR for the
weather-plugin).

Or all of the above. :)
I have updated the tarballs and path on my site. There's an additional
change from Joachim K=F6nig in xfce4-utils, without which it installs
xfce.desktop outside the package prefix. Except for that, only the
buildlink updates and some Makefile cleanups were done.
