 Yes, that was it - with gtk2+-2.14.3 installed there was no further
 problem, with 2.12.12 gail was not present
 
 The package (www/libgtkhtml) currently just demands gtk2+>=2.8.17nb1
 clearly that needs to be a much more recent version.
 
 I think there might be several other packages that used to use gail
 that are in the same situation (I sent in just one PR, but I noticed
 in my build error log that more than one package failed to build because
 it was unable to locate gail).
