 So, i moved mk.conf aside and got the default value of /usr. None of these
 methods are working for me to get SSLBASE == /usr/pkg:

 PKG_SYSCONFDIR.openssl=${PKG_SYSCONFBASE}/openssl
 SSLBASE=/usr/pkg
 USE_BUILTIN.openssl=NO
 PREFER_PKGSRC=openssl
 PREFER_PKGSRC=yes

 What is the correct method to get this to work?

 TIA
