 I've confirmed that the pkgsrc patches apply OK on NetBSD (/i386 4.0
 STABLE).
 
 MacOS X uses GNU 'patch' (2.5.8) which is known to have trouble with
 asymmetric diff context.  Not sure what flavor of 'patch' Solaris 10
 uses but it behaves identically to GNU 'patch' in this case.
