 plz close this bug.
 i had an incorrect /emul/linux link.
 rm /emul/linux; ln -s /usr/pkg/emul/linux /emul/linux
 brought my system back the way it's supposed to be.
 and extraction goes o.k.
 (excuse me the bug)
