 This seems to be a SASL problem rather than a TLS one... I don't know
 kmail but I guess you built it with SASL support (default), kmail is
 trying to authenticate using a SASL mechanism and you don't have that
 SASL mechanism installed.
 
 Try to find out which mechanism kmail wants and install the appropriate
 security/cy2-* package.
