 Ok, I've finally been able to update again, do 'bmake clean' and try
 building again.  Still no joy.
 
 The latest build log is at:

 And in answer to your other query, when I go to "security/openssl" and
 run 'bmake VARNAME=LDFLAGS show-var', I get a blank line.
