 I ran into the exact same problem when trying to compile
 openldap-2.2.18nb3.  The problem seems to be that the configure script
 for openldap is finding the db.h file in /usr/include instead of the
 correct one in /usr/pkg/include/db4.  The db.h file in /usr/include is
 for the berkeley db that comes in the base system which is version 1.x I
 believe where openldap requires version 4.2 minimum.  The configure
 script seems to detect the correct location of the library, but not the
 header file.  A workaround I found was to move the older db.h file out
 of the way for a moment and do a make clean && make configure in the
 pkgsrc directory.  After configure was done, I could move the db.h file
 back to /usr/include and continue building openldap.
