Not sure, I just configured a bit too small disk initially ... swap
disk was in tmpfs (on Linux host, but NetBSD does have tmpfs too)

I also set up ccache/distcc  between two qemu instances, but via vde2
(not available on NetBSD as far as I can see)

It worked, but bigger packages wanted plenty of ram even for just one cc ...

So I ended up just manually restarting gcc compile, only to find it
fail eventually.
