Thanks for the link. Yes I am using rsync extensively at home for
personal backups. ZFS snapshots + send/receive are much more efficient,
but ZFS is not suitable for VPS VMs with tiny amounts of memory
allocated to them.
I'm looking into deploying identical VMs with different providers
located in U.S., UK, and EU. Then establish VPN with wireguard and
synchronise IMAP mailboxes with Dovecot replication. Still trying to
figure out the best architecture - active/passive or active/active. I
probably do not want anything too complex as this tends to decrease
reliability.
