NetBSD started crashing 2 weeks after I started using a IBM Model-M keyboard. I works fine when I disconnect Model-M and connect USB keyboard. Why? How do I fix/reset this thing??
I had this same issue with a Model M clone (the Unicomp Space Saver) and my Ryzen desktop. Model M keyboards are somewhat infamous for drawing a lot of power. I plugged it into an older Pentium III running NetBSD though, and it worked without any issues.
If you can believe it, my "solution" on the Ryzen machine was to get a powered USB 2.0 hub, connect it to that, and connecting the hub to my NetBSD tower.
(FWIW, I had the same issue on FreeBSD and Alpine Linux as well. I suspect it was the motherboard tripping somehow, and not to do with the OS specifically).
