Fujitsu Futro S450

Hello,

Is there a chance that anyone is successfully running NetBSD (whether i386 or amd64) on a Fujitsu Futro S550 Thin Client? These are fanless rugged computers that run an installed OS from an internal CF card. In my case the machine boots fine from a NetBSD 10.1 installation USB flash disk. The installation to the internal CF card is without issue using default options (i.e. entire disk) from sysinst. Both GPT and MBR installations were attempted. However when booting from the internal CF card, the NetBSD boot sequence fails to identify the boot disk.

It stops at:

NetBSD/x86 ffsv2 Primary Bootstrap
Boot failed (errno 5): Can't open /boot

The CF card was taken out of the machine and placed into a USB CF card reader and an attempt to boot from it was made. The boot sequence also fails at loading the OS.

It stops at:

wd0: <SanDisk SDCFX-016G>

^ the USB keyboard does not function at this point
Any hints on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated.
