It should just work, even on machines w/o UEFI support (but I am really
suprised you still have one of those).

And side note: MBR vs. GPT is totally orthogonal to booting via UEFI or BIOS.

In case it just does not boot your USB stick with the image (which can
happen for broken firmware reasons, or security settings in the BIOS),
you can instead use the legacy "bios" image instead, as Steve pointed out.
