I had reported this issue ages ago under earlier -current. It happens only on the main console screen, /dev/constty. On the secondary /dev/ttyEx screens sudo is OK.
I just tested the issue on 11.99.1 and it seems that it has been fixed along the way - I can sudo on the main /dev/constty. Tested on a ProxMox guest over a SPICE connection.
