It happened again (after 83 days of uptime). Some of the ctwm title bar
bitmaps were already on the fritz for days; today all bitmap fonts got
blanked and most of the tortoise-hg window was filled with small
rectangular patterns. Even some pages in Firefox were affected.

This time restarting X didn't work and I had to reboot :-(

I haven't had time to do proper research into this issue yet,
unfortunately. But it still feels like some confusion in some part which
caches small bitmaps which gets corrupted after a while.
