Below is my /var/log/messages.
Why do I get:
Sep 1 08:02:20 gandalf ntpd[817]: error resolving pool
2.netbsd.pool.ntp.org: Temporary failure in name resolution (2)
Can it be fixed?
Do you have "ntpdate=YES" in /etc/rc.conf ?
If so maybe remove it ? I read somewhere ntpdate(8) is no
longer needed.
FWIW, I removed it a while ago and my system time and ntp(8)
seems to work OK. When I removed it the messages stopped.
But in reality you can ignore those messages.
