NetBSD 10.0 crashing on shutdown



I have a few amd64 systems which ran NetBSD-10_BETA and used XFCE4/slim
from pkgsrc-2023Q4 for the desktop. All of these ran absolutely solidly
with no problems whatsoever.

I upgraded a test system to NetBSD-10.0 keeping the same packages and
that worked fine.

On that basis I upgraded my main desktop system and discovered that it
booted fine, but on shutdown or trying to switch to a different console
with Cntl/Alt/F1 it would crash. This was completely reproducable. I
decided to investigate where the change which caused this problem was
and so complied kernels for RC1, RC3, RC5 and RC6. All of these worked
fine with the NetBSD-10.0 userland. but as soon as you switched to the
NetBSD-10.0 kernel the core dumps started again :-(

I have the crash dumps, but the dmesg below includes the traceback

Kernel compiled without options LOCKDEBUG.

Looking at the changes from RC6 to the final 10.0 release nothing looks
particularly problematic.  Any pointers to how to track down where the
fault is occuring?
