So far I thought the procedure I posted in last mail is the standard way
of building the kernel as it is documented so.

As some replies advised I tried build.sh and following is the snap.

# uname -a
NetBSD laptop 7.0 NetBSD 7.0 (GENERIC.201509250726Z) i386

# cd /usr/src/
# cvs stat build.sh
===================================================================
File: build.sh          Status: Up-to-date

   Working revision:    1.310
   Repository revision: 1.310   /cvsroot/src/build.sh,v
   Commit Identifier:   OcfDqcxn1szMZW8z
   Sticky Tag:          (none)
   Sticky Date:         (none)
   Sticky Options:      (none)

# ./build.sh -u kernel=MYKERNEL

ERROR: build.sh must be run from the top source level
*** BUILD ABORTED ***

Mayuresh.
