If Xorg -configure is deprecated, what does one use in its place?

"man Xorg" didn't say anything about "Xorg-configure" being deprecated.

That was in NetBSD-current with modular/pkgsrc Xorg.

I was completely unable to startx, and Xorg -configure also failed, couldn't 
find the display.
