can netstat be infected

Hello,

I have a recent installation of NetBSD beta, which has been rebuilt
once.

chkrootkit reports that fstat is infected:

Checking `mingetty'... not found
Checking `netstat'... INFECTED
Checking `named'... not infected

from ls -l /usr/bin

-r-xr-xr-x  1 root  wheel   7.9K Jul  7 00:52 from*
-r-xr-xr-x  1 root  wheel   9.9K Jul  7 00:52 fsplit*
-r-xr-sr-x  1 root  kmem     26K Jul  7 00:52 fstat*
-r-xr-xr-x  1 root  wheel   143K Jul  7 00:52 ftp*
-r-xr-xr-x  2 root  wheel   225K Jul  7 00:51 g++*

It seems like the netstat file was from the latest build.

Any suggestions?

Darrel
