Re: Some USB-Drive is not working with NetBSD. How to address the right developer?

I've tried to walk someone through a diagnosis of a similar looking
problem when it was reported a year ago:
http://mail-index.netbsd.org/tech-kern/2011/06/01/msg010611.html

My impression was that the problem is in handling of "check condition"
in the umass protocol. The error bit in the status wrapper remained
set even after valid "request sense" data were read. This can possibly
be worked around with some heuristics, as looking at the "valid"
bits in sense data, without ugly quirks.

We didn't come to a finish at that time. If someone wants to look
at this I can try to dig out my old mails. If no one wants, well,
you can send me an affected USB stick - contact me privately.

best regards
Matthias
