I have tested the latest beta6.0 build with lsi 2008 and it works.. Thanks a
lot for your help in resolving this issue and porting it to 6.0.

newer LSI SAS controllers should now be supported by mpii(4) in HEAD:
mpii0 at pci1 dev 0 function 0: vendor 0x1000 product 0x0072 (rev. 0x03)
mpii0: target 0 cache disabled, enabling
scsibus0 at mpii0: 258 targets, 1 lun per target
sd0 at scsibus0 target 0 lun 0: <LSI, Logical Volume, 3000> disk fixed
sd0: 1861 GB, 1906394 cyl, 16 head, 128 sec, 512 bytes/sect x 3904294912
sectors
sd0: tagged queueing
