Huawei E220 & NetBSD - no umodem

Hello,

   I tried plugging a USB Huawei E220 adapter into my NetBSD laptop. If
I've got the instructions properly, it should come up as a umodem
device, but all I get is umass-related messages, and a cd1 device. (I
can mount the cd1 device, and it contains Windows-drivers and such (as
expected)).

   Reading a few google-hits, I see that this problem is a few years
old, but it also looks like it should be fixed(?).

   I have the umodem device enabled in my kernel config (I have been
using my SonyEricsson C702 as a modem on this particular laptop), and am
using NetBSD/amd64 5.1.

   Anyone with a Huawei E220 which likes to present a cd-device -- what
trick is needed to get it to work as a modem?

Kind regards,
Jan Danielsson
