cgd

I seem to be having difficulty creating a cgd as described at
http://www.netbsd.org/docs/guide/en/chap-cgd.html.

When I do either the first step in scrubbing the disk

# cgdconfig -s cgd0 /dev/wd0e aes-cbc 128 < /dev/uransom

or the second step in creating the cgd

# cgdconfig -V re-enter cgd0 /dev/wd0e

I get an error

cgdconfig: ioctl: Inappropriate ioctl for device

I have tried it with several disks both internal and external and keep
hitting the same wall.
