This is precisely the information I wanted! Thank you!

One of the reasons I want to install Slackware to physical disk is that
I think it should be possible to boot Slackware not only as a domU but
also outside Xen?

(I have just recently started with NetBSD so I want to keep Slackware
at hand. And compile times for a full pkgsrc NetBSD XFCE desktop are
humongous! :) I can boot into the Slackware domU while I'm waiting in
case I need to get on the web for help.)

But I am amazed with the excellence of NetBSD, and the helpfulness of
the people involved. Already in this mailing list I have received
replies from developers who are surely busy with other work, so I am
very impressed with the way they still take time out to give detailed
replies to newbie questions!
