Apple Menu->System Preferences->Keyboard

Click on the "Modifier Keys..." button

Change the Caps Lock to be Control.

You can even do it on a per-keyboard basis.  I have it set to swap them on the 
internal keyboard, but since my external keyboard is a Sun Type 6 (USB), the 
Control key is already where it is supposed to be.
