Just do it. I bet you won't find it out if you don't give it a try. As
beginner you may experience some problems, but that's ok. I've been
using Linux for about 8 years till some friend of mine recommended
NetBSD 5.0 to me. It was a great decision. I don't regret it at all!

If you look for a clean, well designed system, NetBSD its your choice to
be! If you want a clean Unix, there you go! :D

BTW: The user support is also outstanding!
