So do you mean X is starting, or not?  How are you starting X11?  Is it
through some sort of display manager such as XDM?  If X isn't starting, can
you put a copy of your /var/log/Xorg.0.log file somewhere so we can see it?
You say you had downloaded some xorg.conf files --- at the very least you
should do what the NetBSD Guide recommends:
