Thanks. I wonder what is causing this. You didn't have core dumps 
for these before? Maybe some different version of gtk2+ or other 
dependency?

You get these core dumps when you exit the apps? (I assume so since you 
say they run fine.) Can you run gdb -c on the core files and "bt" to 
maybe try to get an idea what happened?
