AW: KDE application slowness (dbus related?)

did such problems appear even in the dialogs of other KDE based apps?

It seems that they are trying to connect to ressources / services which are not 
available or responding (properly).

I experienced such behaviours (but on Gentoo Linux) with afaik their source in 
akonadi / nepomuk /strigi (file-/data-)indexing system and or with dbus - i'm 
not shure how far amarok or others are using akonadi and dbus.

I tried to avoid the usage of akonadi / nepomuk by disabling it in the KDE 
control center (and afaik killing akonadi and nepomuk procs).
