>Description:
Suspend to RAM does not work on a Thinkpad X270. Kernel messages show that the component ihidev0 is not correctly configured in the kernel for power management indicated by the following line from dmesg
ihidev0 at iic1 addr 0x38ihidev0: autoconfiguration error: failed to get HidDescriptorAddress: AE_NOT_FOUND
>How-To-Repeat:
Issueing the command sysctl -w hw.acpi.sleep.state 3 on a Thinkpad X270 does not result in the system entering suspend mode.
The following error messsages show up in /var/log/messages instead:
Jan 6 14:49:52 geekbox /netbsd: [ 8180.7791862] Devices without power management support: ihidev0
Jan 6 14:49:52 geekbox /netbsd: [ 8180.7791862] acpi0: autoconfiguration error: aborting suspend
>Fix:
No fix is available.
Even The attempt to disable the device ihidev0 via the entry userconf=disable ihidev* in /boot.cfg does not result correct suspend to RAM.
