It's installing from an install CD image with a command line like this:

   qemu-system-sparc64 \
       -m 128 \
       -drive file=/bracket/sparc64/test/2021.07.02.17.14.36/anita/wd0.img,format=raw,media=disk,snapshot=off \
       -nographic \
       -boot d \
       -drive file=/bracket/sparc64/test/2021.07.02.17.14.36/anita/download/sparc64/NetBSD-9.99.86-sparc64.iso,format=raw,media=cdrom,readonly=on,index=2

 That's possible.

I'll try to do a manual qemu install on lyta to see if I can catch
the point where the permissions get changed.
