 I tried booting from a SATA hard disk containing an already-installed
 NetBSD-current system instead of the USB flash drive, and it also
 failed, with error messages including:
 
   wd0: IDENTIFY failed
   wd0: fixing 0 sector size
   wd0: secperunit and ncylinders are zero
 
 Maybe some kind of interrupt routing issue?
