 Well, at the moment the machine is sitting there waiting for
 people to arrive at work tomorrow morning (in 12 hours time or
 so) for the power button to be pressed twice.
 
 But, sure, if it comes up again after a power cycle, I guess it
 won't hurt too much to also test a -current kernel.
 
 Or, better yet, I'll dig out a similar machine from storage and
 test on it instead...
