>Release: i386 6.0
>Organization:
University of Queensland
>Environment:
NetBSD rm310.jktech.com.au 6.0 NetBSD 6.0 (GENERIC) i386
>Description:
Since upgrading this machine from 5.1.2 to 6.0 these errors have begun to
appear in /var/mail/root:
Updating man page index:
makemandb: Error in indexing /usr/local/man/man3/DBM_Filter::compress.3
makemandb: Error in indexing /usr/local/man/man3/DBM_Filter::encode.3
makemandb: Error in indexing /usr/local/man/man3/DBM_Filter::int32.3
makemandb: Error in indexing /usr/local/man/man3/DBM_Filter::null.3
makemandb: Error in indexing /usr/local/man/man3/DBM_Filter::utf8.3
makemandb: Error in indexing /usr/local/share/man/man3/DBM_Filter::compress.3
makemandb: Error in indexing /usr/local/share/man/man3/DBM_Filter::encode.3
makemandb: Error in indexing /usr/local/share/man/man3/DBM_Filter::int32.3
makemandb: Error in indexing /usr/local/share/man/man3/DBM_Filter::null.3
makemandb: Error in indexing /usr/local/share/man/man3/DBM_Filter::utf8.3
Another machine upgraded from 5.1.2 to 6.0 now has these errors in
/var/mail/root:
Updating man page index:
makemandb: Error in indexing /usr/pkg/man/man1/polkit-auth.1
makemandb: Error in indexing /usr/pkg/man/man1/polkit-action.1
makemandb: Error in indexing /usr/pkg/man/man1/polkit-config-file-validate.1
makemandb: Error in indexing /usr/pkg/man/man1/polkit-policy-file-validate.1
makemandb: Error in indexing /usr/pkg/man/man8/PolicyKit.8
makemandb: Error in indexing /usr/pkg/man/man5/PolicyKit.conf.5
So it seems 6.0's man page indexer is fussier than 5.1.2's in some way. OK,
the files above in /usr/local aren't from NetBSD but it would still be nice if
they could be indexed without generating errors -- and they used to be prior to
6.0, as far as I can tell.
