estd will for Intel CPUs only and will never work on AMD.

If you have powernow in your kernel then you should
see something like this:

# sysctl machdep.powernow
machdep.powernow.frequency.target = 800
machdep.powernow.frequency.current = 800
machdep.powernow.frequency.available = 2200 2000 1800 1600 800
